We are looking for a graduate engineer to work within our Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) team and help develop multidisciplinary solutions for the built environment. We combine our technical expertise with digital solutions to support building design and resolve environmental and building physics challenges.

Your responsibilities:

  • Perform numerical (CFD) analyses of both internal and external flow to support design decision (wind & thermal comfort, emission dispersion, ventilation, mechanical heating and cooling, building physics)
  • Use first-principles methods to solve bespoke challenges
  • Develop knowledge and skills in understanding and analysing local microclimates
  • Build and run models applying the appropriate physics for the application at hand
  • Undertake technical analysis and report on results
  • Contribute to the development of digital tools and automated processes

We seek the following qualifications, attributes, and skills:

  • Master’s or higher Degree in Civil, Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Building Engineering or other related discipline
  • Experience in CFD modelling (preferably using OpenFOAM)
  • Familiarity and experience with dynamic thermal and energy simulation software or finite-element modelling (i.e. FEM, FEA BISCO, TRISCO, EnergyPlus, IES, or other) is preferrable
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (preferably Python)
  • Proficiency in design software packages (preferably Rhino and Revit)
